12 Jul Hydrocarbon Refrigerants
At Airconstruct we always take our commitment to the environment to the next level. We recently had our environmental system third party certified and now its onto hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons are alternative natural refrigerants which are freely used in other states and we are lagging in Queensland at this point in time. There have been numerous reports filtering through to the Queensland Petroleum and Gas Inspectorate who administer the use of Hydrocarbon Refrigerants in Queensland of illegal practices. It is important that only people with appropriate licensing and skills are able to use these new environmentally friendly gases.
In early July we sent Ben Perkins our Head of Service Strategy down to Sydney to the Australian College of Climate Change to undertake hydrocarbon refrigerant training in accordance with the vocation education training syllabus. Airconstruct HVAC are now ready to tackle the problems of climate change head on with the retrofitting of approved systems with natural refrigerants.
